Baylor College of Medicine
October 2004 - April 2005

Worked in the web operations department as a contract worker to assist in the development of an interactive flash map application for their new public website. http://www.bcm.edu/maps/

The main task at Baylor was assisting the original programmer of the map application adapt and refine the application to match the look and feel of the new public design. By using my skills in flash and action scripting, I was able to turn the map application into a light weight fast loading, fully functional map with enhanced features, such as dynamic image loading, scrolling location lists and fast one click map switching.

Aside from working on the map application, my tasks included updating sites on Baylor's private intranet, re-skinning some other existing web applications to match the new BCM colors and logo. Also with having a background in video production, my skills were occasionally called upon to help in developing video presentations for the bi-monthly all IT meetings.

Triangle Entertainment
July 2001 - August 2004

I worked as the main Graphic / Web Designer where I fully utilized my multimedia skills in the design and development all of the web, print and video advertising media for the company including the six night clubs that they own.

My main daily tasks included maintenance all of our websites and production of new media for upcoming events and projects. My technical knowledge of computers also landed me the position of in-house computer tech for the company.

Responsibilities included setting up new users/computers on our network domain, fixing common problems such as: internet failures, trouble shooting email problems, maintaining Virus protection.

In certain situations my skill in custom system integration also came into play. I built and configured all of the clubs mp3 DJ systems and office computers.

Sunlight Multimedia / MicroSearch
September 1999 - July 2001

Sunlight Multimedia was my own company specializing in graphic design and video production. I offered many different products to my customers such as: business cards, brochures, flyers, posters, CD layouts, websites, interactive CD, TV Commercials, promotional music videos and wedding / event videos on DVD.

MicroSearch is a local company that specializes in providing Turnkey Video Editing and 3d Animation workstations along with technical support to media professionals in the Houston area. Worked as a contractor for MicroSearch, doing video production and multimedia projects for them. Occasionally I would do demonstrations of their editing software/systems for potential customers.

As an added bonus the owner of MicroSearch let me operate my freelance business out of their facility at no charge, by providing me with an office and access to the production studio.

It is here where I learned a great deal about professional system integration and trouble shooting. I soaked up everything that I could from the technicians there. After awhile they started asking me to help out testing new systems and trouble shooting customer problems over the phone.

KINKO'S Fondren location
June 1997 - September 1999

Worked as part of the computer service department. Desktop publishing and Graphic design were my main responsibility, working on both Macintosh and Windows workstations.

Daily tasks consisted of the creation of business cards, flyers, brochures, banners and newsletters for walk-in customers. Kinko's was my first taste of working in a fast paced environment; here I gained valuable experience as part of their digital production department.

Trained on Xerox's Fiery, which is the digital print server that ran the production color laser systems for their Xerox Docucolor40 and the Canon Colorpass digital printers. It was here that I learned a great deal about Macintosh and Windows workstations co-existing in a net work environment.

The onsite and classroom training that Kinko's provided were great, as required by Kinko's corporate everyone had to cross-train in different areas to help increase productivity. Also received training in a number of different areas such as: dynamics of teamwork, customer relations and several digital printing / production courses.
